陽性鋭波 positive sharp wave：脱神経電位。鋭く不快陽性から始まる鋸歯状で2相性の脱神経電位
群化放電 grouped discharge：不随意運動、例えばパーキンソン病

正常では運動単位活動電位(MUP)が出現する。
高振幅MUP：振幅4mV以下のもの。振幅の正常範囲については体部位によって異なる。
高振幅(giant spike)・高持続時間電位：振幅の幅が3mV以上、持続時間が10ms以上。多相性(polyphasic)。脊髄前角細胞の変性の過程で見られる。(筋萎縮性側索硬化症、球脊髄性筋萎縮症)
低振幅・短持続時間電位：振幅の幅が1mV以下、持続時間が2-3ms以下。筋線維の一次性病変に起因する疾患で見られる。(進行性筋ジストロフィー、多発筋炎)
