• 1. 網膜神経線維層の細動脈、または毛細血管の閉塞による局所性網膜乏血
• 2. 虚血による神経線維層の梗塞 (SOP.138)

病理学的所見

• 神経節細胞の軸索流の低下により神経線維が局所的に膨化し、細胞のように見られる細胞様小体が観察される(SOP.128-129)

眼底所見

• 形大きさ共に不定で、主に後極部眼底に生じる(SOP.128)
• 境界は硬性白斑より不鮮明 (SOP.138)

軟性白斑が見られる疾患 SOP.129

• 高血圧性網膜症、膠原病(全身性エリテマトーデス、皮膚筋炎、結節性動脈周囲炎)、糖尿病網膜症、網膜静脈閉塞症、AIDS網膜症の初期病変
