- 吸気したO2は肺胞に留まる分(PAO2)と肺血管に移行した分に分けられる。
- 肺血管に移行した分 と 末梢で消費されずに残ったO2がPaO2として検出されるので、PaO2は使えない。
- O2を消費して排出されたCO2の動脈血濃度を用いて、肺血管に移行した分を算出する。
