- Courvoisier's law (or Courvoisier syndrome, or Courvoisier's sign or Courvoisier-Terrier's sign ) states that in the presence of an enlarged gallbladder which is nontender and accompanied with jaundice, the cause is unlikely to be gallstones.(参考1)
- →胆嚢の無痛性腫脹、黄疸の随伴であること。結石で本徴候がみられる可能性はほとんどない。
- 結石による総胆管の閉塞では胆嚢炎を合併するため、胆嚢壁の肥厚、萎縮があり、胆嚢の腫大が見られないことがある(NSU.11)。結石は長い時間経過の間に形成されるが、その間に胆嚢壁が肥厚、線維化して拡張しにくくなっている(参考1)。
