Skin window technique
Medical diagnostics
Purpose
identify immune response
Skin window technique is used in immunology where the top layer of skin is scraped off making it possible to identify the immune response that would occur with a diminished physical barrier in the host, and observe mobilization of leukocytes.[1]
It was developed by John Rebuck in 1955.[2][3]

von-Hippel Lindau disease (VHL)-related hemangioblastoma is likely to occur in the cerebellum and accompany a cyst. Since multiple hemangioblastomas commonly occur in VHL and multiple surgeries may thus be necessary, a minimally-invasive surgical strategy is of great importance. We present two patie

One burr hole surgery is a common treatment modality for initial chronic subdural hematoma and stereotactic hematoma surgery, but severe skin depression is often a postoperative complication. We report the autologous bone dust technique, which uses autogenous bone dust generated during burr hole cre
