The lumbar lymph nodes (paraaortic nodes) are a group of lymph nodes residing in the lumbar region.

They consist of the following groups:

• right and left lateral aortic lymph nodes
• preaortic lymph nodes
• retroaortic lymph nodes (or 'postaortic')
