症例は67歳女性．胃癌で幽門側胃切除術（低分化腺癌+印環細胞癌，stage IIIA）施行後，20年目に左頸部リンパ節腫脹を認めて来院し，生検で低分化腺癌+印環細胞癌を認め，胃癌の再発と診断し，化学療法施行．2年後に骨髄抑制，DICを合併し死亡．剖検で，脳以外の全身臓器を検索したが原発巣は認めなかった．本症例は，進行胃癌術後，晩期再発したと考えられた．
