- ラジアレンは環状の交差共役化合物であり、特徴的な電子構造を有している。今回我々は、[3]ラジアレンの三つの環外原子を全てリン原子に置き換えたトリホスファ[3]ラジアレンの合成・単離に初めて成功した。その構造は各種スペクトルおよびX線結晶構造解析により明らかにした。得られた化合物の電子状態について、紫外可視吸収スペクトル、サイクリックボルタンメトリーおよび理論計算を用いて検討した結果を報告する。

- アゾベンゼンは光機能性色素として広く研究されている。アゾベンゼンの紫外可視吸収スペクトルにおける分子吸光係数を増加させると、微量で光に対して高感度で応答する機能性色素となる。本研究ではアゾベンゼンに種々のシリル基を置換した化合物を合成し、紫外可視吸収スペクトルを測定したところ、分子吸光係数が大きく増加することを見出した。この結果を理論計算によって求めた分子軌道と遷移モーメントによって議論する。
