- 症例は63歳女性，上部消化管内視鏡検査にて胃前庭部に隆起性病変を認め，病理所見から悪性腫瘍を疑ったが，特殊免疫染色や遺伝子検査の所見を総合的に判断してRussell body gastritis（RBG）と診断した．本例はHelicobacter pylori感染を認め，除菌後に病変は肉眼的にも病理学的にも消失した．RBGは世界でも報告が少ない極めてまれな疾患であり，文献的考察を加えて報告する．
