- 内容物は嚢胞内にはケラチンを含んだ嚢胞液。これが水分子の運動を妨げる原因と考えられる。
- 悪性腫瘍内では水分子の動きが制限されるとか(参考2)
- 例えば、心原性脳塞栓の脳MRIにおいて、T2強調画像(T2WI)と拡散強調画像(DWI)は同じような信号強度を呈するが、水がDWIでは低信号となり、病巣が見えやすくなるのが特徴。
- DWIの方は解像度がT2WIよりも落ちるので区別できる。
