The body of stomach (often just called the body or corpus) is an anatomical region of the stomach in humans.
The body of the stomach shares boundaries with the three other regions that makes up the stomach; the cardia, fundus and pylorus. The boundary between the body and the fundus is defined as a horizontal line running through the cardiac notch. A imaginary perpendicular line from the angular incisure to the lesser curvature of the stomach makes up the boundary between the body and pylorus. Since the cardiac notch, angular incisure and entire stomach position varies in individuals these boundaries are not fixed in position.[citation needed]
