- 主に肝臓でP-450 mixed-function oxidaseによりCCl4がfree radicalであるCCl3・に変換される(BPT.19)
- 自己触媒的に膜のリン脂質を過酸化し、急激に小胞体を破壊する(BPT.19)
- 暴露から30分以内に肝臓の酵素やplasma proteinの合成が低下する(BPT.19)
- 2時間以内にsmooth ERが腫脹しSREからリボリボソームの解離が起こる(BPT.19)
- 肝細胞からの脂質の輸送が停止し脂肪肝を来す。これはアポプロテインの合成が停止するため(BPT.19)
