眼圧の成因
- 眼球内圧は毛様体上皮からの房水産生と隅角からの房水流出のバランスと上強膜静脈圧とによって決定される。
基準範囲
- 日本では、平均眼圧：14.5±2.5 mmHg 正常眼圧上限：20 mmHg (SOP.80)
- 正常人の眼圧は10～21mmHgの間で平均は約15mmHg、標準偏差値3mmHgである。
生理
- 日内変動(午前高い、夜低い)、季節変動がある。
測定方法
- 外来では非接触型眼圧測定、あるいは接触型眼圧測定(トノペン)が行われうる。前者は検者が被検者の角膜の中心に狙いを合わせ、眼球に強い風をあてる事で測定される。後者の場合、測定装置が眼球に触れるため感染に配慮する必要がある。
臨床的意義
- 緑内障を始めとした眼科疾患において診断に重要である。
