Anatomical terminology |
A lymph duct is a great lymphatic vessel that empties lymph into one of the subclavian veins. There are two lymph ducts in the body—the right lymphatic duct and the thoracic duct. The right lymphatic duct drains lymph from the right upper limb, right side of thorax and right halves of head and neck. The thoracic duct drains lymph into the circulatory system at the left brachiocephalic vein between the left subclavian and left internal jugular veins.

- BACKGROUND: Bile duct cancer has very poor prognosis. Important prognostic factors include the TNM stage, cell differentiation, and histologic type; however, we often observe patients whose prognosis is not consistent with the TNM stage. Additional prognostic indicators are mandatory to complement t

- BACKGROUND: Myocardial contractile depression develops 4 to 24 h after major burn injury. We have reported previously that in a rat burn injury model (≈40% of total body surface area burn), mesenteric lymph duct ligation (LDL) prior to burn prevented myocardial dysfunction. However, the underlying
