- 女性に比べて男性に多く、30-40歳代に好発する。
- 三叉神経痛の1/10~数十分の一ないし1/100の頻度とされる。
- 咳嗽、くしゃみ、嚥下、発声なとにより誘発される
- 激しい一過性の鋭い痛みが耳、舌後方、扁桃窩、顎の下方に起こる。
