多飲多尿多食と低カリウム血症を示すビーグル（12歳、雌）が、ACTH刺激試験でコルチゾール、アルドステロン、コルチコステロンの著増を示した。超音波検査で左副腎の腫大と肝および後大静脈内への転移を認めた。この結果から転移を伴う副腎皮質腫瘍と診断し、トリロスタンによる治療を試みた。治療後、副腎皮質ホルモンの過剰分泌と低カリウム血症は改善されたが、117病日に斃死した。組織学的には、副腎皮質癌であった。
