- 痙直型脳性麻痺の幼児が, 発熱に伴い急激な横紋筋融解を起こして腎不全に陥ったが, 腹膜灌流および交換輸血により救命しえた. 血清CPK値, ミオグロビン値はそれぞれ最高値568,000U/L, 150,000ng/mlに達し, また血清カルニチン値は低値を示した. 1カ月後, 再び横紋筋融解を来したが早期のアルカリ療法が奏効した. 筋生検より基礎疾患としてネマリンミオパチーがあることが判明した.
