- 2. 本人の自発的・自由意思による参加。
- 3. インフォームド・コンセント取得の必要。
- 4. 倫理審査委員会の存在。
- 5. 常識的な医学研究であること。
また、宣言の保護対象が単にヒトだけにとどまらず、ヒト由来の臓器・組織・細胞・遺伝子、さらには診療情報まで含むこと、および宣言の対象者が医学研究にかかわるすべての人々であることとされている。
