GUCH is an acronym for Grown Ups with Congenital Heart defects.[1] Adults with congenital heart defects are a group of patients which is fast growing in numbers, due to advances in cardiac surgery and intensive care in the 1970s and 80s. In some countries a specialised programme has been established.
