- [Clinical monitoring in areas of exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields].
- Suvorov IM.AbstractClinical syndromes induced by high intensity radiofrequency electromagnetic field chronic exposure are described. Persons injured by occupational exposure have been observed central nervous system changes in diencephalic syndrome form, cardio-vascular system changes revealed in atherosclerosis, isch(a)emic heart disease and coronary insufficiency rapid progressive expansion. General public living in territory of radar station exposure zone different functional disorders have been identified: vegetative dystonia (asthenovegetative syndrome), thrombocytopenia, decrease of blood coagulation index, and thyroid gland function changes. Observed diseases clinical variability may be determined by electromagnetic exposure characteristics.

- Evolution of certain typical and atypical features in a case of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis.
- Raut TP, Singh MK, Garg RK, Rai D.Author information Department of Neurology, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.AbstractSubacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) is a slowly progressive inflammatory disease of the central nervous system caused by a persistent measles virus usually affecting the childhood and adolescent age group. Clinical features at onset are very subtle and non-specific. Certain atypical features can occur at onset or during the course of illness which can be misleading. Neuroimaging features often are non-specific. Features like myoclonic jerks, cognitive decline and typical EEG findings lead to a strong suspicion of SSPE. Here, we describe the stagewise progression of a case of SSPE in a 14-year-old girl who had myoclonic jerks and cognitive decline at onset. During the course of disease, the patient developed cortical vision loss, atypical extrapyramidal features like segmental and hemifacial dystonia ultimately leading to a bedbound vegetative state. EEG showed typical periodic discharges along with positive cerebrospinal fluid serology for measles.

- [Influence of the initial vegetative tone on the condition of haemodynamics of younger schoolboys].
- Shaĭkhelislamova MV, Sitdikova AA, Sitdikov FG, Kaiumova GG.AbstractThe comparative analysis of the functional condition of cardiovascular system and their reaction to the local isometric exercise for the 7-8-year-old boys, who are practically healthy, and in relation ship with the initial tone of the vegetative nervous system is given in the article. By means of variation pulsometer analysis, as well as by means of tetrapolar breast rheography it is found that children with sympathetic influences on heart rate (67.00%-55.55% out of all the studied) in comparison with those, who are normal or vagotonic show the higher activity of neuromediator link in sympathoadrenal system, as well as the increased stroke and minute blood volume on aveioge tachycardia background. With sympathotonic boys it is found that the leadiry link in the mechanism of urgent adaptation of the cardiovascular system to local static exercise there may be the spastic reactions of bloodstream, which allows us to distinguish such-like schoolchildren as a high-risk group in terms of appearance of vegetative dystonia with hypertensire vascular syndrome.
