The splenorenal ligament (or lienorenal ligament, or phrenicolienal ligament ), is derived from the peritoneum, where the wall of the general peritoneal cavity comes into contact with the omental bursa between the left kidney and the spleen; the lienal vessels (splenic artery and vein) pass between its two layers. It contains the tail of the pancreas, the only intraperitoneal portion of the pancreas.

- INTRODUCTION: Splenic rupture in chronic pancreatitis is a life threatening rare complication. The anatomical proximity of the pancreas with the spleen and the pathophysiological process in acute and chronic pancreatitis form the basis of this dreaded complication.PRESENTATION OF CASE: We cite the c

- Wandering spleen is a rare clinical entity characterised by splenic hypermobility resulting from laxity or maldevelopment of the suspensory gastrosplenic, splenorenal, and phrenicocolic ligaments. Diagnosis is quite difficult, especially in children because of the lack of symptoms and signs until sp

- BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Laparoscopic transperitoneal left adrenalectomy (LTLA) has become the standard treatment for adrenal masses<6 cm. LTLA involves the dissection of splenic suspensory ligaments, which replicates their congenital absence or weakening, present in cases of wandering spleen (
