Helicobacter cinaedi is a bacterium in the family Helicobacteraceae, Campylobacterales order. It was formerly known as Campylobacter cinaedi until molecular analysis published in 1991 led to a major revision of the Campylobacter genus.[1] H. cinaedi can cause cellulitis and bacteremia in immunocompromised people.[2]
Description
This species is able to dart around using its single polar flagellum. Its cells are spiral to rod-shaped.[3]
