フィコビリタンパク質のAlexa Fluor6® タンデムコンジュゲート

488 nmで効率的に励起し578 nmの蛍光を放出するフィコビリタンパク質のR-フィコエリスリン（R-PE）はフルオレスセイン（FITC）、オレゴングリーン488、Alexa Fluor® 488色素などのグリーン蛍光検出試薬と併用して、488 nmのスペクトルとの同時励起を利用した2種類のシグナル検出にしばしば使用されます。より長い波長の光－放射蛍光アクセプターにR-PEをコンジュゲートすることによりエネルギー転移カスケードが形成され、蛍光共鳴エネルギー転移（FRET）によりR-PEが励起してアクセプター色素の蛍光を生成します。このプロセスはきわめて効率的で、ほぼ全てのエネルギーがフィコビリタンパク質からこれらのタンデムコンジュゲートのアクセプター色素に転移されます。(下記URLより引用)

FRETとかに使えるらしい！！！ってことは相当安定か(凍結融解してもokなくらい？)。
