- 人工リーフの機能改善のための新しい方法について，BGモデルを用いた数値計算によって検討した．通常の人工リーフでは，天端上で強い向岸流が起こり，これが汀線付近での侵食をもたらす．そこで，人工リーフ岸側において，岸向き流れを阻止するための別の潜堤を設置する方法を考えた．人工リーフ上での強い向岸流の発生を考慮すれば，従来型人工リーフの細砂海岸への適用は控えたほうがよいことが分かった．

- バリ島のSanur Beachでは，養浜による砂浜の回復事業が行われた．その際，リーフギャップの岸側にY字突堤が造られた．Y字突堤の建設後，この突堤の沖側で堆砂が起きた．堆砂の原因は，リーフ上での波による岸向き漂砂によると考えられた．Y字突堤沖でのこのような堆砂機構を等深線変化モデルによる計算によって検討したところ，予測結果は現地観察結果をうまく説明した．
