Real-time or real time is a term often used to distinguish reporting, depicting, or reacting to events at the same rate and sometimes at the same time as they unfold (see real time (media)), rather than compressing a depiction or delaying a report or action. The term has uses in many areas, and many articles cover different aspects.
Real-time is a flexible word. If there is a network with a speed 1 kbit/s and the designed system can give an output faster than 1 kbit/s, it will be a real-time system with respect to that network. So, it depends on the speed of the network and there isn't a strict speed threshold or fixed standard for deciding if a system is a real-time or not.[1]
