症例は72歳，男性．腹部造影CTなどで胆嚢癌が疑われ，根治手術を行った．術中胆汁細胞診の際，ランブル鞭毛虫が多数検出され，ランブル鞭毛虫症に胆嚢癌を合併していた．術後メトロニダゾール内服を10日間行った．感染経路は，牛糞などを堆肥に用いた自家栽培の野菜摂取であった．ランブル鞭毛虫は，上部小腸のみならず，胆道系にも寄生することが知られているが，胆嚢癌との併発は極めてまれである．
