A kilocycle is a thousand cycles of any periodic phenomenon.
This is a measurement of usage of reciprocating machines, especially presses. Kilocycles or kc, as an abbreviation of kilocycles per second, is an old term for what is today known as kilohertz. This is because sound waves have a frequency measurable in their number of vibrations (or cycles) per second.[1]
