概要

• 前作『愛は元気です。』からベストアルバム・企画ミニアルバムを挟んだ為、オリジナルアルバムから1年7か月ぶりのリリースとなる。
• 「ときめきをBelieve」を除く楽曲の作曲を手掛けている。
• また編曲では以前コラボレートした大村・西脇に加え、清水・亀田（東京事変）・崎谷が初参加となる。

Here, we examined the contribution of humoral immunity, including nonneutralizing antibodies (Abs), in this infection induced by low virus inoculation doses. Mice with impaired humoral immunity readily terminated infection with the slowly replicating LCMV strain Armstrong but showed delayed virus elimination after inoculation with the faster replicating LCMV strain WE and failed to clear the rapidly replicating LCMV strain Docile, which is in contrast to the results obtained with wild-type mice. Thus, the requirement for adaptive humoral immunity to control the infection was dependent on the replication speed of the LCMV strains used. Ab transfers further showed that LCMV-specific IgG Abs isolated from LCMV immune serum accelerated virus elimination. These Abs were mainly directed against the viral nucleoprotein (NP) and completely lacked virus neutralizing activity. Moreover, mAbs specific for the LCMV NP were also able to decrease viral titers after transfer into infected hosts. Intriguingly, neither C3 nor Fcγ receptors were required for the antiviral activity of the transferred Abs. In conclusion, our study suggests that rapidly generated nonneutralizing Abs specific for the viral NP speed up virus elimination and thereby may counteract T-cell exhaustion.

Minipigs are increasingly becoming an especially attractive animal model in life science research because of their physiological and anatomical similarities to humans. The Microminipig (MMPig) has emerged as a novel and small minipig for non-clinical pharmacological/toxicological use. The MMPig is docile, weighs less than 10 kg in early maturity, and has an easily manageable size. In this study, we report on sex and age patterns in serum biochemistry parameters, including lipid analysis items and lipid profiles in healthy MMPigs. In total, 58 males and 67 females aged 0-34 months underwent serum biochemistry parameter measurements. Most parameters showed no effect of age or sex (although some did). Lipid analyses showed that the serum levels of total cholesterol, but not those of triglycerides (TG), were consistently higher in females at 0-34 months of age. Lipid profiles in 5-month-old MMPigs were investigated in greater detail. Serum low-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-C) values were higher in females. The percentage of LDL-C against total cholesterol was also higher, although high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol was lower, in females. There were no sex differences in the TG fraction. Although the sex difference in the serum lipid profile remains unexplained, the reference values obtained in this study could help facilitate the use of MMPigs in life science research.

Here, I detail a real-time dead-end strategy associated with the behavioural traits of lineage progenitors in the social spider Anelosimus studiosus. Specifically, colony lineages founded by docile spiders were eight times more likely to suffer extinction, despite their superior reproductive output. However, when inquilines were experimentally removed from progenitor colonies, differences in extinction probability among lineages vanished. Similarly, among lineages founded by purely docile or aggressive individuals, the descendants of lineages with the highest reproductive output suffered the lowest survivorship, whereas lineages founded by a mixture of docile/aggressive lacked such a trade-off. Finally, lineages with shorter progenitor-descendant distances gained more inquilines and their descendants had lower survivorship, relative to more diffuse lineages. Overall, this study demonstrates how the traits of lineage progenitors and species interactions can unite to determine the fates of entire lineages.
