Autosensitization dermatitis (or cutaneous autosensitization) presents with the development of widespread dermatitis or dermatitis distant from a local inflammatory focus, a process referred to as autoeczematization.^[1]^:81

ある部位に限局していた病変の急な増悪によって、掻痒を伴う小丘疹や紅斑が全身に多発する病態
原因としては、内在性アレルギー性反応(イド反応)が原因とされている。原発巣における組織崩壊によって生成された変性蛋白、細菌および真菌成分、毒素などが抗原となり、これらが全身の血流にて全身の皮膚に運ばれ、そこでアレルギー反応をおこすことで皮疹を生じる。
初発の局所性湿疹は、貨幣状湿疹、うっ滞性皮膚炎、接触性皮膚炎、アトピー性皮膚炎、足白癬、熱傷などである。
