- 臨床的に茫然佇立および旋回運動等の症状を示した一歳の和牛における共尾虫症を剖検した. 左側脳室嚢虫寄生,内水頭症,前頭骨における頭蓋癆ないしは頭蓋骨穿孔を認めた. 病理組織学的には白質の海綿状脳症を伴う側脳室から周囲に及ぶ寄生虫性肉芽腫と共尾虫寄生が認められた. 嚢虫の袋は薄く透明で,嚢壁内には4個の吸盤,二重王冠配列を示す大小の鈎を備えた額嘴で構成される頭節が無数認められた.
