Reflex vagal hypertonia (RVH) has been identified as a possible cause of sudden unexpected death in infants during the first year of life. Homatropine methylbromide (HM) is an anticholinergic drug known to inhibit muscarinic acetylcholine receptors, thus affecting the parasympathetic nervous system.
