Lupus erythematosus panniculitis (also known as "Lupus erythematosus profundus,"^[1] "Lupus panniculitis,"^[2] "Lupus profundus",^[2] and "Subcutaneous lupus erythematosus"^[2]) presents with subcutaneous nodules that are commonly firm, sharply defined, and nontender.^[1]
