病因
- ビタミンB12の欠乏
- メカニズムは不明であるがミエリンの形成に異常が生じる (参考1)
病理
- 脊髄後索と側索の脱髄・変性
- 大脳白質・末梢神経にも髄鞘の脱髄と軸索の変性が起こる。軸索の変性は軽度。
病態
- 錐体路徴候、深部感覚障害・運動失調(BET.156)
病因
- ビタミンB12の欠乏(詳しくは→ビタミンB12欠乏症)
- 悪性貧血に続発する病態
- 悪性貧血以外の原因による
- 葉酸の欠乏(完全に同一の症状ではない)
検査

診断
- 症候と検査(血中ビタミンB12、シリングテスト)により診断
治療
- ビタミンB12の筋注
